Why do this now and not earlier in his term? If he was the declared winner of the election at this point, would he still be doing this now? Or is this a sign of concession.
I agree. Appointing Hope Hicks and Rick Grenell to these boards sounds like a signal he knows it’s over.
He would probably be doing it now to fill the spots but not appointing these people. Many of them are close to him.
I’d feel a lot better if he’d have announced the termination of the following administration posts.
Nowhere in the Constitution does it mandate a Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, or government involvement in the same.
Yep....he’s not conceding!.......YAY!!!!
We will miss him.
>>I wondered if it was THE Ezra Cohen because the “Watnick” part was missing.
I assume the same. I expect a massive dump of intelligence in the “public interest” during the Christmas break. Leading up to Jan. 6th, it might be enough to derail the electors’ process, but who knows.
Of course, I know nothing, and shall simply assume a guess.
IT MAKES SENSE! THIS “RELIEF” BILL IS A FREAKING STING OPERATION! SIGN THE BILL, POTUS!
I got the same impression.
LOL
Pam Bonding gets free theater tickets for life?
Good for her!

Minor appointments - returning favors
Hmmm -- wonder if that fella's last name is actually hyphenized...

That’s actually not the case at all. These are mostly nonpolitical appointments that last beyond and outside of his admin. E.g., Ric Grenell to the Holocaust Memorial?
Very sad not to see it an major appointment within his admin instead—but that would be pointless unless he manages a win in Congress, against the odds.
Yep. People within the admin call him Ezra Cohen.
This is very sad all the way around. Prayers for our country.

"Key" posts...?

On one side it could appear like outgoing moves, but, some of these have served him loyally during these 4 years, and maybe ready themselves to relax, whether or not he stays (God willing, he will be).
I take it as actually he’s strategically putting in place some loyal players to keep an eye on the corruption that will follow with this pork stimulus and other things.
Can’t people serve on even several boards of directors while still having a full time job? I think they can.
