I do remember it! All my friends raved about the diet chocolate fudge soda. It was, okay, I guess. Give me Dr. Brown’s cream soda WITH sugar any day. With a salt bagel, chive smear and some whitefish on the side, with tomatoe, red onion and capers. I miss a good deli....sigh. There were some really good delis in Los Angeles when I lived there, before escaping, in 2000.

Amen!

I loved to drink the Kosher Coke in Israel. Reminded me of my childhood. Not too sweet....and big on fizz.

I am the weirdo who has added chocolate syrup to my cola beverages since the early 90s. Vanilla is OK, too, but there is just something about the interaction of the chocolate with the cola flavor.

Delicious........I used to make a Triple Chocolate Shake with it, adding chocolate popsicles and chocolate milk all blended together.

This?

Pepsi Kona was a Pepsi flavor that was test-marketed in May 1996 and until 1997 only in the city of Philadelphia. A soft drink meant to be consumed during breakfast, only this time, the idea behind this is to make the drink to taste like coffee. It was test-marketed as another morning drink but failed in the test marketing stage, and in 1997, it was discontinued due to low sales.

No I will not drink cold, fizzy ‘hot cocoa’ Pepsi. I can buy a Yahoo if I want chocolate milk.

Dang it! I was going to mention cel-ray! But it is kind of wierd....I nearly always went for the cream soda, or the black cherry! Now I am fixated on doing a deli thing Sun a.m., even spring for some good lox. Damn, going to get a cel-ray now that you have bullied me into it! There is a pretty decent deli here (Scottsdale, AZ) and they even have some gut bomb knishes. Yep, going for the gold tomorrow a.m. Thanks for the reminder of the cel-ray....Nice memories of good food.
