It’s going to grow. People love working from home, they can do the job and companies are delighted by the prospect of not having to pay for expensive office space.

Commercial real estate is going to take a huge hit.

Expensive cities and states are goi g to take a huge hit.

My SIL works for a company that leases expensive office space downtown and they are very close to ending the lease based on work at home results the last six months.

The new technologies have demonstrated to many businesses that they no longer need a big, expensive central location to prosper and be profitable. Combine that realization with the reality of lawlessness and filth being politically tolerated why would decent people want to locate a business or live in these cities unless it were absolutely necessary. A Democrat Federal government will run huge dollar weakening deficits trying to subsidize their critical urban bases.

I can’t WFH all the time due to the job.

Two or three days a week can be done.

Yeah, no kidding. My son’s IT firm allows everyone to work from home, permanently. They just put their high-rent district building up for sale. Son says he’s starting to see a lot of this lately.

If the governor of California has any say, they’ll be turned into either homeless centers or Section 8 housing.

There’s probably big money to be made by shorting commercial mortgages on office buildings. They will be like the malls that are defaulting.

Mark my word, work from home is not going to work. Every one of my group business owner clients hate it.
People are less productive and harder to train, watch and commincate with.

I called my pension fund company a few weeks back. Heard the womans dog barking in the background. Totally unprofessional.

WFH for the MIS department here is encouraged.

I show up a lot since I don’t like tickets piling up or I have to configure a unit.

A lot of times I am the only one here. The quiet is nice.

My son hates working from home, says he’s distracted and can’t concentrate at home. It’s not for everyone. His company has always had a WFO option - he says he has colleagues he’s never laid eyes on except on The Zoom.

I retired from teaching because I hated working from home over the Zoom. Kids hated it, I hated it and, most importantly, it doesn’t work.

Home is distracting at times. During lulls I’ve binge watched classics like Sweating Bullets, Ironsides, and Quark.

I’ve found some stored MiFi hubs and and one seems to be active.

If it will work at the warehouse where I store the disassembled CJ7 and Blazer, I might make that the base.

A basic desk, chair and a radio of some sort. I’m not at home being comfy if I have come in for something.

I prefer working in the office as well. I have toddlers, and it’s hard to concentrate. It also messes with my work/home compartmentalization

I’ve been telecommuting for more than a decade and couldn’t see myself ever back in an office. I am vastly more productive. In periods where I am stuck on a work problem I can get other things done around the house or go for a walk instead of being stuck in an office. This means I apply my most efficient ‘work’ time to work and when I am stuck on a ‘work’ problem I can deploy the time more efficiently elsewhere. Sometimes I solve my work problems by taking my direct focus off of it.

Left unmentioned is the idea that WFH greatly increases the value of a McMansion in a distant suburb.

Suddenly, the commute time falls to zero, and the extra space translates into an office at home.
