Hunter paid?

You pay for ad free content and I guess other perks. Similar to YouTube premium or Spotify...

If it was due to demonstrably hosting, or failing to quickly remove illegal material, then I agree completely.

That doesn’t seem to be the case. At least, not that I can find. And if there is illegal content, where is the law enforcement?

I don’t like financial institutions being able to shut down or restrict lawful commerce for all of the ramifications that it will have on gun purchases and all other politically out of favor content, groups and individuals.

"@Mastercard has just informed me that they are terminating the use of their cards on Pornhub"

I guess he'll have to use a different card, then.

Visa just also announced their suspension of services for illegal content as I stated. PornHub has been hosting rape videos, child pornography, revenge porn, and copyrighted videos for years. It's a criminal enterprise. Most of the pornography industry operates in the same manner.

As to the credit card companies going after legitimate businesses, that Rubicon was crossed years ago.

Pornhub has uploaded videos of child and underage porn.
THAT’S not legal.

I thought only stolen credit cards were used to pay for online porn.

Then I say good for them.

Then I ask, where the hell is the FBI?

Call the FBI.

I’m sure they’re not stupid enough to allow illegal content

Porn is a blight on humanity. The devil’s iconography. Shut it down.

"Just curious - who pays for porn? I thought it is all free?"

It is if you watch it on Hunter Biden's laptop, like the FBI has been doing for a year now.

***

YES..and no. Don’t kill me here but I do know the guys behind Xvideos, and Bang Bros. Xvideos relies on links for the videos to premium sites while Bang Bros is a studio-type site where you pay to ummm, entertain yourself. Pornhub alone has more views than the NFL, NBA and MLB combined, more than 10 times over. It is what it is.

I’ve been to 3 AVN shows and most of the heavy-hitters in the industry ain’t Dems, thats for sure.

I understand your position but it’s legal as far as the law is concerned.

“Should not be permitted, if it’s legal commerce credit card companies should have to process the transactions.”

I agree. The credit card industry, with 2 major players and a couple of minor ones needs to be treated like a monopoly and compelled to do business with any legal business. What’s next, the power company shuts off your power because of social media pressure?

This tactic of weaponizing the financial system was pioneered by the Obama. Everyone should take a minute and learn about Operation Chokepoint:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Choke_Point

Every principled conservation needs to be against this.

“As to the credit card companies going after legitimate businesses, that Rubicon was crossed years ago.”

Correct.

But when it strikes at the heart of a liberal sacrament (gay porn for example) I thought we’d be likely to see laws put in place to stop it.

If you want to shut them down, then pass actual laws to do it. Allowing these legal end runs is dangerous and can easily backfire on us.

I don’t get why people expect the FBI to do anything. This is the same organization that illegally conducted surveillance and sedition against the President, absolutely nothing about election fraud, the blackmail ring with Jeffrey Epstein and his murder in prison, and so on and so on. Why would they go after the corruption involved in the pornography industry which rakes in billions of dollars and has been greasing palms ever since the last attempted crackdown in the 1980s.

This isn’t a legal end run. PornHub was distributing child pornography and rape videos of human trafficking victims and profiting from it. PornHub is a criminal enterprise.

No different than denying credit card processing for firearms or ammunition.

Forget credit card processing, I can't buy ammo mail-order because every damn' site thinks all of Illinois is Shitcago! Almost none of the online ammo sites ship to Illinois because of Shitcago.
