RE: I would not use them for anything, even if they are accurate in a particular instance.
Well, let’s talk about THIS PARTICULAR INSTANCE then. Are they right or wrong?
Snopes states this:
“The deadline for requesting mail-in ballots was several days later (Oct. 27), and by then
over 3 million mail-in ballots were requested, of which over 2.6 million were ultimately returned by the specified deadline for ballot counting.”
RIGHT OR WRONG. If right, then the fact that Snopes is Democrat is IRRELEVANT.
RE: Then you go back and scroll down the datasets list and you come to the General Election Data and you try to open it and it says you don’t have permission to access it. It’s the only one out of the entire list with that lockup status.
Question : Was it ever NOT LOCKED before?
He’s the man.
Where exactly are these FACT CHECKS coming from? It was hard to see exactly where in the article.
RE: Where exactly are these FACT CHECKS coming from? It was hard to see exactly where in the article.
The article has NUMEROUS LINKS. Just look at one of them:
https://www.governor.pa.gov/newsroom/pennsylvanians-urged-to-hand-deliver-mail-ballots-immediately/
The above is from the PA Governor’s office dated October 27,2020 ( a week before the election ).
Here is the relevant paragraph in the link the article referenced:
“More than 3 million Pennsylvanians have applied to vote by mail, made possible by a new law the governor signed last year creating the most sweeping election reforms in 80 years.”
SeekAndFind,
You should not follow Snopes or anyone on the left in this argument because they don’t have the raw data, Giuliani has it.
There were sent out close to 700,000 Republican mail-ballots, 1.8 million democrat ballots, 100,000 or so Other category ballots.
Giuliani stated only 1.4 million of the 1.8 million Democrat ballots were returned. I don’t have the link handy, sorry but I saw it on multiple website pages so it should be easy to find.
The point is that Giuliani as attorney for Plaintiff has access, the public does not have access because the State locked it up (all other datasets are open though). Snopes doesn’t have access.
Of course, the State of PA has access to the data and they need to respond. So far they haven’t. In fact, they’ve locked the public out of the data for the general election. The data for the primary is open but that doesn’t matter right now.
When we see the State of PA respond to Giuliani, then we can have an argument, But they haven’t responded. And as said already, they locked the data up and are hiding it.
What does that tell you?
Yes it was updated as it came in just the same as in the primary and in all elections. When Giuliani’s investigators started looking into it and finding fraud, they locked it up.
So we are supposed to trust the Olivera Perkins (Washington Compost, Cleveland Plain Dealer) for “facts” now?
The whole notion of fact checking is propagandist in nature.
It’s like an “information cop”, whose sole purpose is to delegitimize viewpoints on issues along partisan lines.
RE: Yes it was updated as it came in just the same as in the primary and in all elections. When Giuliani’s investigators started looking into it and finding fraud, they locked it up.
OK, please give us the bottom line. The claim ( which has been repeated in various articles is that the mail-in vote count (2,589,242) in the presidential election in Pennsylvania exceed the actual number of ballots sent to voters (supposedly 1,823,148).
The article refutes this claim by saying that there were actually 3 million mail in ballots sent out to voters.
Which claim is true and which claim is false?
Lawsuit, possible criminal probe for fraud. See #27.
Agreed more spin. More BS. What is going on with SeekAndFind?
RE: When we see the State of PA respond to Giuliani, then we can have an argument, But they haven’t responded. And as said already, they locked the data up and are hiding it.
Well, if it is true that they have LOCKED UP the datasets, this in and of itself looks suspicious. Why would the state do that and not let the public see the data?
But let’s look at the numbers you presented ( BTW, you have not told me where you got these numbers, but I’ll assume that they are correct for now ):
1,800,000 mail in ballots sent to Democrats
700,000 mail in ballots sent to Republicans
100,000 to others
This brings the total mail in ballots sent to : 2,600,000
So, what’s this claim that 1.8 million were sent out and 2.5 million votes were received?
From the numbers you gave, 2.6 million were sent out. What exactly is the problem?
RE: What is going on with SeekAndFind?
Truing to Seek And Find the truth of the matter. Why don’t you refute the article for me instead of asking what’s going on with me?
Get that Snopes garbage out of here. Starting to wonder if your account got hacked.
RE: The 1.8 million was mailed out for BOTH THE PRIMARY AND THEN AGAIN FOR THE GENERAL.
The PA governor’s office states that nearly 3 million ballots were mailed out for the November 3 election ( the date of the article was October 27,2020 ). See here:
https://www.governor.pa.gov/newsroom/pennsylvanians-urged-to-hand-deliver-mail-ballots-immediately/
Is the governor of PA lying?
All claims outside the court should be ignored, The data is not available to anyone other than parties in litigation who have been granted access.
The fake news is doing what it’s always done, trying to smear and brand Giuliani as a liar, as a buffoon.
Don’t fall for it.
The only claim that is legit outside Giuliani is the State’s claim and so far they are not responding to Giuliani’s charges. What does that tell you? It tells you they are caught. They need to do an internal investigation and come up with an explanation how someone hacked their system.
If the State tries to cover it up, people will likely be going to jail. Giuliani has the goods. He has the affidavits of insiders.
Sit back and watch what happens in the lawsuit. Everything else is noise.
Of course, to see people wave their hands and say “Giuliani is an Idiot! He used Primary Data!”,. this is annoying but how is that different than what’s been seen the last 4+ years of fake news trying to smear Trump with lies?
RE: Get that Snopes garbage out of here
The main article is NOT from Snopes and REFERENCES the official PA websites.
Exactly, Plus the 1.8 million is accurate, as it does not include absentee ballots requested. Rudy did not misquote.
