I can now FINALLY report on someone I know dying from Covid.
Well, actually I didn’t personally know this person. She’s my best friend’s cousin’s mother (seriously), but my best friend visited her a couple times in the last two years. She was a feisty 90 year old.
As I said, the lady was 90. She got sick and went into the hospital and they said she had Covid. She stayed in the hospital for a week. They released her to a skilled nursing facility. There, she had two more Covid tests, both of which were negative—she had to have two negative tests to be released to go home. She still wasn’t feeling well so they kept her a few more days. She then died.
Her death certificate says she died of Covid.
The end.
When the MSM was screaming for universal testing on day one it should have set off everyone’s scam alert.

First, they yelled about quarantine, because of *asymptomatic transmission*.
Then, they yelled about a shut down.
Then it was masks and PPE, along with level 4 bio-safety procedures..
Then it was ventilators.
Then it was negative PR about therapeutics.
Then it was advocating a vaccine.
Now, it is “Trump got a vaccine, so we won’t take it.”
Also, now: shut down, masks everywhere, all the time and “There will never be an effective immunity.”
Got to figure, they have something besides health and mitigation as a goal.
Whatever they advocate for next: refuse.
That’s exactly it. Fauci’s dishonesty - whether in service of collectivism or simply seeking one last great heroic role for himself before the end - has poisoned public belief in the health care establishment. When a genuinely lethal pandemic emerges in the future, everyone will simply scoff at it and ridicule expert warnings.

There is where you go wrong. Using just US stats, your average flu infects 36 million and kills 36 thousand. Of those, 1350 die from “just the flu” and nothing else (3.25% of deaths). The reason it only infects 36 million is that some people have immunity due to prior exposure and we vaccinate (occasionally we even vaccinate for the right strains). The CCP virus has infected fewer than 9 million (1/4th as many) and killed 225 thousand (6 times as many) and of those 225 thousand supposedly 7% have died from just the CCP virus. There is no prior exposure or vaccine to provide herd immunity and in theory (one we should not test) 100% of the population could get infected. And, contrary to the claims of those that think anybody over 55 is a waste of skin, CCP-19 has a mortality distribution curve very much like that for the flu, just with a bigger amplitude.
So now that you have seen a statistical comparison to “just the flu”, it’s not the flu. People that have the facts that I just laid out for you that still say it’s just a bad flu or just a bad cold are a danger to themselves and others.
Go about your business, but engage in the mitigation practices that protect other people from you being infectious. It’s exactly the same advice you give someone that is going to the bar after work. Have a good time. Have a beer or two. Don’t have 10 beers and then insist you’re good to drive.
Eventually we’ll have the same level of herd immunity to the CCP virus that we have to the (collective strains of) flu, and hopefully, an effective vaccine. Then we can claim “herd immunity”. But that hasn’t happened, yet, and may not for months. In the mean time, let’s try not to shorten life expectancies dramatically by being careless or selfish. Now that we can be reasonably confident that our HCS won’t collapse from overload, we can relax things a bit, continue to open things up at a controlled pace, and laugh at the Dems hiding under their beds.
We can debate just how much longer and worse the ODD crowd made this, but in the end, it’s all China’s fault.

The CDC does have multiple models for predicting total USA COVID cases...

Lowest Estimated Ratio X Confirmed Cases...
6 X 9 million = 54 million total COVID infections.
The Case Fatality Rate for the lowest ratio...
225,000 deaths - divided by - 54 million total cases = 0.42%
The worst flu season in the last 10 years was 2018-2019.
The flu Case Fatality Rate that season was 0.14%.
Factor in the fraudulent COVID counting method, and COVID is just a standard severe cold and flu season.
Bottom Line...
Protect the aged and the infirm.
Everyone else - back to your normal life.
