Somebody wrote a song about that, didn't they?
I've always said that once I reached the bottom the only place for me to go was back up. Story of my life. ;o])
Probably a lot of people wrote that song.
“Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again!” Now I’ll have that earworm all night.
Time for my pills and then to head for bed. See you in the AM and I hope you’re feeling LOADS better by then! <3
‘Night!
I hope you have a great night! If Tom had been here, he would have made me laugh, but he can’t come over until next weekend, other things being equal.
If I hadn’t lost my sense of humor, I would have attempted to make you laugh because laughter is truly the best medicine!
I recommend some “Death In Paradise,” watching, especially the first two seasons, starring Ben Miller. (Stiff British Inspector who wears a suit in the tropics and complains about the heat.) GREAT acting! And a real “feel good” watch. The next three seasons are almost as good, but during the 6th season, they’ve lost the fun of the first five. Still, if you’re feeling down, Death In Paradise is a wonderful way to cheer up when Tom is unavailable.
Watched part of a lecture about photography and went to bed at 8:20. I agree that “Death in Paradise” is good, and that it’s fallen apart since Dwayne and Florence left, even though the Irish guy has a darling little accent.
Jake says it’s cold out.
Dwayne was a force to be reckoned with in that series! Yes, the Irish Guy has a darling little accent, but his lines aren’t humorous. If I watch an earlier episode sometime in the morning, I feel much better for the rest of the day.
Jake is right. It IS cold out.
Kitteh is waiting fer da sun to catch up wif him!!
Good morning.
The shower has been had and now, I’m having some tea. It’s hard to type this morning, but I have at least one letter to write.
Rocky was thankful for her dinner, but she thanked me before she ate it so it may be a different story today. We’ll see...
I’m back. Each cat has chosen a chair and made a small ball. I’m going to have some eggs and toast.
I should fry up an egg and nuke a slice of bacon to try and get more fat in my diet.
For now, though, I’m going to take the trash out and then go check the mail. I could wait until tomorrow, but...
BRB
Tomorrow is Martin Luther King, Jr.’s, Unbirthday, so there’s no mail tomorrow. I bundled up and picked up Saturday’s Wall Street Journal, which we don’t get until Sunday.
I keep forgetting about that Unbirthday, so I don’t factor it in when I write to Charlie. But then I remember that Charlie keeps track of days when no mail comes. He’s always done that.
His is the only letter I write designed to get anywhere on a specific day. He’s also a creature of ritual and likes certain things done certain ways. I guess there is a form of security in that.
I haven’t read the Wall Street Journal for years, but I enjoyed it when I did read it.
Jake likes to sit on the WSJ. We joke that he and my mom’s cat, Polly, who watches CNBC, could run the world economy if they only had thumbs.
Cats are discerning. Smart. Clever. Regal. And gorgeous!
Shannon could be the figurehead, while Jake and Polly pull the financial strings.
Excellent plan! You and Old Tax Lady can be the Staff!
Oh. Wait. You already are. Never mind! ;o]
Kitteh sez happy Monday!
Good morning.
The laundry is done except for hanging the shirts and making the bed, but. I’m still trying to decide if I feel up to going to Walmart. I’ll hang the shirts and then see how I feel. I just don’t want to over-do things.
My gas mileage has really dropped since moving here, and the engine is going to need some major work. Another reason to try and move ASAP so my Favorite Son can help to nurse it along a bit. I don’t want to give it up before I get to AR.
Kitteh and I iz trapped in Monday.
Happy Monday!
