Not to belabor this but there’s something worth sharing that gives insight about assessing judicial appointments.

But first, I can imagine President Trump narrowing his choices down and say he comes to Barrett and Lagoa. There could be others I suppose but let’s say he narrows it down to Barrett and Lagoa.

So POTUS is there looking over their records, he’s discussing them with some of his amazing White House legal team members, he sees that both are incredibly qualified and will meet his standard of applying the law, not modifying the law.

So he looks at both their CVs, their positions, their publications, their presentations, their ability to manage clerks and be good justices and so on.

And I imagine he’s doing a lot of reading, and he sees they are in general equal and wonderful and meet all his criteria, And then he thinks of something no one else has thought and that is what about their families? What about their families living in DC for the rest of their lives?

So he sees Barbara lives down there in beautiful Miami and he sees Amy Barrett lives in Indiana and he wants to know how they feel about transplanting to DC for the rest of their lives.

So he turns to VP Mike Pence who was Governor of Indiana and he asks, “Ever get homesick for Indiana?” And the VP says, “Yes, absolutely.” So POTUS asks him what would make his homesickness go away and VP Pence says, “A dream job, a job having a great duty to the American people.” And POTUS says, “A dream job to uphold the Constitution and protect the freedoms of Americans?” And VP says “Absolutely.”

The above imagining might be way off but it wouldn’t surprise me if POTUS considered such matters given all other things being equal.

But to wrap it up as to Barbara Lagoa’s publications and writings. I know meaning I KNOW they are above substantial by a lot. No, they are not even close to ‘thin’.

Because in the body text at the start of this thread, it mentions “she served as an editor to the prestigious Columbia Law Review.”

Wow, actually Big Wow.

You see, if you get published in the Columbia Law Review, you are at the top of the heap. For Americans that are not cognizant of the field of law, think of baseball, think of Hall of Fame.

When you publish in the Columbia Law Review, you are considered Hall of Fame material.

When you serve as an ‘editor’ of that prestigious journal, you are inducted into the Hall of Fame as a baseball analogy to the field of law.

Now Amy Barrett is no lightweight wither. She was a Professor of Law at Notre Dame and by definition she was widely published as a result of that position. So there’s no doubt she has a legal mind on par with Barbara Lagoa.

So the more I think about it, it’s not so much about who is best qualified in terms of applying law and preserving the Constitution, it’s maybe more about who will have the more prominent historical face, the better quality impact on American history. That’s a tough one, that’s POTUS’s call.

Look at “Club for Growth” at the bottom of the article. Putting millions into promoting her? Brings open borders and China to mind.

Tell me what you feel should take precedence over people being able to protect the lives of their own daughters and sons between conception and birth.

You're arguing the chicken vs. the egg.

The right to be armed is the right to protect your own life. Without the right to protect your own life you don't really have any other rights. Take away the right to be armed and you're just a serf, a serf that can't defend the unborn.

Mao Zedong made the comment that "Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun". Ignoring the fact that he was a communist monster, he was correct in what he said. No guns=no self determination despite what the marxist media would tell you.

So while you argue in circles about which one is more important consider that if your second amendment rights go away the rest of the rights the American people have essentially become suggestions, including the right of the unborn to life.

Fox News has deteriorated over the past several years to the point their conservative followers have moved on to other outlets. Tucker, Hannity, and a very few others still maintain substantial followings.

Your Fox link goes nowhere for me. Here’s all I could find:

“Conservative political groups including Judicial Action Network and Club for Growth have vowed to spend millions on promoting Trump’s nominee, Politico reported.”

It’s not possible to see what you’re pointing out using the above blurb.

Your advocacy of Barbara Lagoa was just rejected at the highest level.

President Trump has nominated Amy Coney Barrett to be the next Supreme Court Justice.

I believe that she will do many good things for the Right to Life, the First Amendment, and the Second Amendment.
