I’ve been watching Counterpart on Prime. The series only ran two seasons and it has a pandemic storyline before we really knew what a pandemic was.
Anti-Polonist Garbage.
Amazon?
Generation War is a German miniseries about a group of friends before and during the Second World War. I thought it was quite well done.
I was going off the top of my head in rememberizing, but I think most of those I listed are netflix.
I’ll check and repost.
Black Spot - Netflix.
Dark - Netflix.
The Frankenstein Chronicles - Netflix.
Diablero - Netflix
Thieves of the Wood - Netflix
Hinterland - Netflix.
Also want to add my vote to The Last Kingdom and Norsemen.
Also from Netflix, Frontier and The Umbrella Academy.
Gonna go check amazon now. Gotta be something there because I keep paying for it lol.
thank you!
The CGI and acting were good. If you took out all of the family drama and gay crap, it would have made a good movie. I tuned out the junk and just choose to remember the good parts.
I like Burn Notice.
On Prime:
Any or all might fall into the drivel category depending on personal taste, but I enjoyed them.
Hidden Agenda.
The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.
Carnival Row
The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher
Agatha Christie’s The ABC Murders
The City and The City.
The Bridgewater Triangle
I’ve still got the last two seasons of Doc Martin to watch. It’s weird, but funny and interesting.
My daughter loves Good Omens. She’s dressing up as Crowley for Halloween.
Luther and the original Wallander series
I use Kodi to watch Netflix, etc. Not giving them money....
Infidel. Don’t know much about the movie, beyond its star, and that he is kidnapped in Iran, and his CIA wife tries to get him out.
Jim Caveziel is devout Catholic, and he and his wife adopt terminally ill children and care for them. He’s a big star, and could have a much less traumatic life than that, but he is called.
Poldark was very good. Is that available on Amazon Prime or Netflix? We already saw it when they ran it on PBS.
You can get Poirot here on Britbox:
And other great Brit films on Acorn TV ...
I have gotten both....take a break for a few months ...then go back. Great stuff!
Oh, not sure if you are m or f .... but on Netflix:
FRIDA starring Selma Hayek as Frida Kahlo who was married to Diego Rivera.
Im a big fan of Comrade Detective on Amazon Prime. Its a really funny parody of gritty cop shows and movies, with a twist. The show follows the exploits of Romanian police detectives, and it combines the standard 80s cop drama clichés with Communist propaganda as the two lead detectives try to unravel a sinister capitalist conspiracy. The actors play it straight but the comedy comes from the characters unquestioning embrace of all the Communist talking points. In one episode the lead detective tries to understand an American criminals mindset, so he goes to the public library to read up on American history. He prepares a report that is so drenched in Marxist dogma it could have come from an American university. Its a fun show and a nice change of pace.
I have Britbox direct, watch it via Roku. So good, and most BBC and ITV shows are moving to it.
