Cherish is one of my favorite songs by Kool & TG.
That title is shared by two other songs very popular in their time; #1. Cherish by Madonna. This almost sounds like a Xmas song.
#2. (The Big One!) Cherish by The Association.

**Ron Bell is proof that you can become a musician making hit records, and still end up looking like a regular human being, not face-lifted to the point of distraction.
You can be a hitmaker and not act like a Michael Jackson character as during his freaky period. Any time after 1985.

RIP. The era of artists who actually made music themselves instead of programming computers to do it is rapidly fading.

Today’s artists cannot fathom the volume of great music produced by the Beatles from 64-68. During that time, they released a new album roughly every six months, and each album was markedly different than its predecessor.

That’s a shame. R.I.P.

As a kid in the ‘70s, I had strange assumption that this group, due to its spelling, was somehow affiliated with or sponsored by the Kool cigarette brand. Seems bizarre now to have thought that, but it was a different era... with Winston sponsoring NASCAR and Virginia Slims affiliated with tennis.

Back when bigotry and racism were on a rapid decline and great black artists made much great music, not the trash put out today.
