Lets say for sake that that thing would go. The problem is, it hasnt enough eruptable magma within its system for a major eruption.
If it did go, it would most likely be Mount St Helens sized.
The west thumb of lake Yellowstone is a caldera of a smaller eruption. There have been many smaller such eruptions in hat system since the last super eruption.
The one to watch..is the Long Valley Caldera. The Magma is up into the mountains around that caldera...higher than the valley floor.
Those are all shot in Spokane.
I was going to college in Colorado at the time and my old man sent me a box of 20 N95 masks!
A few years ago my daughter was at college in the west near some forest fires - so I ordered her a box of 20 from Amazon.
Nothing says “I love you” like a box of N95’s. Well - except a fire extinguisher, or a gun.
Beware... It’s 2020. *Anything* could happen during this horrible year!
Before the Giant Asteroid, but after the Murder Hornets invade the U.S.
The wackos have been predicting a super explosion out of Yellowstone for like 50 years now
snore zzzzzzzz
Gloom and Doom 2020.....

Went there in 2009...had a strange feeling while hiking the 7 mile hole that things are changing fast at Yellowstone. Dont want to go back
I wouldn’t mind the eruption of a super volcano right about now

because you’d know that, at best, you would have a year or two to live in extreme and dire circumstances, punctuated by periods of agony - but at least you would not have to put up with all this political drivel?
But 100 years later the eruption was made worse by the water pockets and instead of a winter lasting a dozen years, it lasted a century and the ice caps returned, but no one cared because most of humanity that remained was too busy to notice foraging for food while the remainder ate each other
Well, they do have a ‘window’ of predictive veracity, since it does appear to erupt every two0hundred thousand years or so. Eventually they can be right!
Look up the Brass Rat story.
Then find a Brass Liberal (or, to be more accurate, a Brass Leftist).
Ooooooh. Asian Jumping Carp!
Wait. I know. I know. It’s Trumps Fish. Cause Trumps Fault is in California.
