At a roundtable with Federal and Kenosha officials and citizens, Pres Trump announces grant of $1-million to the Kenosha Police, to help them recover from the riots. Also announces $4-million to help Kenosha businesses rebuild and $42-million for addtl state prosecutors.

Of the riots in Kenosha, Atty Gen Barr said it was "the hijacking of a protest by a hardcore group of radicals." He said violence "is simply not a legitimate response." Of 175 arrests, Barr said 100 rioters were from out of town. "They came equipped to fight," he said.

Ask what he would say to the family of Jacob Blake, if he met with them, "I feel terribly for anybody who goes through that,” said Pres Trump. Says the police shooting is under local investigation and he hopes they come up "with the right answer." "Its a complicated issue."..per Mark Knoller..CBS

The roundtable took a decidedly spiritual turn near the end when Trump asked the pastor to offer a prayer.

Everyone bowed and the pastor prayed for the town, for healing and for President Trump.

President Trump shines at events like this, because he is not a phony like the DC political class.

It was quite a sight to see everyone’s heads bowed, including Bill Barr’s.
