Zao MKE’s Facebook page links to Community Task Force MKE, which is run by Vaun Mayes, an associate of the People’s Revolution Movement, the group that Kenosha rioter Gaige Grosskreutz belonged to. Mayes and his People’s Revolution associates also have links to the Gangster Disciples, a black Chicago gang active in the Milwaukee area. He was part of a group involved in organizing attacks on random white passersby at a Milwaukee park in 2016 and has been arrested multiple times, including for plotting to firebomb the police station in 2016 and for witness intimidation in regards to that incident.
