Just shut up, Dolly.
Jefferson was steeped in the British Whig tradition of the oppressed majority set against a repeatedly unresponsive court party in the Parliament. He justified small outbreaks of rebellion as necessary to get monarchial regimes to amend oppressive measures compromising popular liberties. In a republican regime ruled by the majority, he acknowledged “it will often be exercised when wrong.”[290] But “the remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them.”[291] As Jefferson saw his party triumph in two terms of his presidency and launch into a third term under James Madison, his view of the U.S. as a continental republic and an “empire of liberty” grew more upbeat. On departing the presidency in 1809, he described America as “trusted with the destines of this solitary republic of the world, the only monument of human rights, and the sole depository of the sacred fire of freedom and self-government.”[292]https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Jefferson
I guess it’s now, Goodbye Dolly.
No, not judgemental at all (sarc)
I hope I didn’t come across as outraged.
Here was the 1st sentence that I read in the article:
“Country music legend Dolly Parton spoke out in support of the Black Lives Matter movement during a recent interview with Billboard magazine.”
Here is the title of the linked news report:
“Dolly Parton voices support for Black Lives Matter movement in new interview”
Even if the author mis-characterizes the “conversation” because Dolly was actually saying what you assert ...that she said black lives matter ... your interpretation was not how it was reported. As I said ... she was set up.
Did she say “Black Lives Matter”, or merely “black lives matter”.
Two brains are better than one.
>>>And Dixie is not too different than other human trafficking slavers<<<
So, any idea when Dixie Cups will be pulled off the Shelves at the Grocery Store?
She would let the veil slip every now and show her leftist idiocy. When she changed the name of her dinner show from Dixie Stamped to a PC name I thought, your days are numbered with me visiting your park. We usually buy an annual pass to Dollywood and this year did as well in January and when they finally opened they had so many odious rules we just asked for our money back. They didn’t want to but finally forked it over. Looks like my days visiting Jane Fonda’s best friend’s theme park are over. I’ll keep my little white ass home Dolly and you can kiss my furry white ass!
I am sure all the black folk going to Dollywood appreciate her stance.
