We've had more - and earlier - Hurricanes so far too. 2020 is going to be one for the record books.
Thx #15 For Spaceweather.com tip.
So Why would First Post publishes this obvious garbage ?
Looks like an addiction to giving fake news. Seriously.
BTW I looked up who First Post is .....
Firstpost is an Indian news and media website. The site is a part of the Network 18 media conglomerate owned by Reliance Industries, which also runs CNN-News18 and CNBC-TV18. The Network 18 group was originally owned by Raghav Bahl.
Great source to go to for made up stories
And, the Earth is puny, in relation to the Sun.
The Sun can have various sizes of spots, and during the course of its cycle, it will have monster spots. Many times the size of this puny ‘earth-sized’ spot.
Maybe it will take out the Red Chinese electrical systems and their internet interference.
Hopefully it will also take out Zukerberg, Zucker, Steyer, Bloomturd, Dorsey, and others like that. Their tinfoil hats would make them the perfect target for a good coronal ejection.
#13. Never heard of Electric Pizza. Is that a rock band or a method of quickly cooking a “pie”? Will it hurt the pepperoni?
What's that saying - if August comes in with a bang it goes out like a whimpering lamb?
Hmm. A quick search came up with some sheep herder in Mongolia has the Bubonic Plague. That'll make your sheep whimper.
The huge CME struck Earth causing the Big One in southern California which slipped the western part of the state from Mexico to San Francisco into the Pacific Ocean and vanished which in turn triggered a Mt Rainier major eruption destroying Tacoma to Bellingham, then sliding all of western Washington off and up into British Columbia, Canada where it remained firmly lodged, forming a new source of tax revenue for Canada
The article said it was as big as Mars, which is only slightly more than half the size of Earth
What? And leave Portland unscathed?
What? And leave Portland unscathed?
```
OH! Soooorrry. I got carried away with the Mt Rainer esploion when the whole 14400 feet of it exploded and the other eruptions seemed so minor in comparison - The St Helens-Hood explosive venting left Portland under several tens of feet of lahar and debris, The rest of the range all the way down to Shasta became active again.
But that’s the good news ...
Seems active venting is beginning throughout the Yellowstone crater - a major eruption of the super volcano is imminent - evacuations of the northern tier states has begun ... most of us will not survive the 10 year long winter - remember the ash falling from the sky is not wood or paper ash but stone.
Will it kill Covid?
WHOO HOO!!!
With the Perseid meteor shower happening in the next few days, it should be a great time for sky watching.
That, "Puny" sunspot is about the diameter of Mars.
