Several younger people I’ve spoken to were of the opinion that slavery WAS originally “invented” in the USA.
Even the Columbus actions they complain about were to keep the natives under control while they broke them from EATING their slaves.
The cultures in much of the Americas were completely incompatible with Christianity, from the widespread human sacrifice and systemic industrialized cannibalism. One of Cortez’ baggage trains including wives was captured, put in pens with no doors and then every one of them was eaten one by one - over 500 of them over a few months.
