Plenty of places have a sign because of corporate policy or local orders, but aren't interested in playing cop. One way to find out is to go in. That's what I do. If I am not welcome, I go elsewhere. Overtime, I build up a list of go/no-go places. The maskers can go to their maskie places and leave us alone if we go to places where people breathe and live their lives.

My chiropractor in NY told me that he went into a store that *required* masks per Emperor Cuomo’s directive, but more than half the employees were not wearing them.

So he asked about it and they told him that they had the sign up simply to stay out of his highness sights. By having the notice up, it appeared that they were complying and would be left alone.

As I have done here, I would recommend trying this.

State these words firmly and confidently the next time you go out and see what happens when you’re challenged or offered a mask by business staff:

“I have a medical condition.”

You have the right to not discuss your medical condition. It is a FEDERAL right.

I don’t claim to be any Paul Revere, but if every Republican and Conservative did this we wouldn’t have this BS.

ONE KEY POINT:

Be polite, don’t be a belligerent ass, do NOT engage in debate. If harassed, ignore or see management.

Read this news article carefully: It’s useless propaganda, but makes one key statement:

It is legitimate if you are confident, firm & polite.

In this reality, whether it’s true or not is nobody’s business but your own.

The mask you wear doesn’t protect you. It protects everyone else. The mask others wear protect you.

Lack of a mask does not cause this illness. A virus causes it. This blanket "masks protect others" is complete BS, because the wearer would have to be infected for the mask to have any value, and there has been no substantial proof that I'm aware of to suggest that asymptomatic people can spread the virus other than some yahoo said it might be possible one time.
