Societal decline, liberalism, would be my reason to move, but my wife doesn’t agree.

Those are my main reasons for wanting to leave. My wife even agrees. But I was just pointing out (rather clumsily) that there are almost no places that are safe from natural disasters of one sort or another. Quakes are the least of my concerns about staying in CA.

“I was there in the Northridge quake. That was enough for me.
I was too and I’m still here. Looking to get out but where to? There’s no place I can think of that’s entirely safe from tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes, wildfires, crime, mob violence etc. Big quakes are really devastating but thankfully they don’t happen that often, even in Calipornia.”

Born in Ca, but lived several other places.

Sylmar, Northridge, and other quakes not enough to make me think about leaving over quakes.

Weather can’t be matched.
