Mattis, your an ass. I don’t think any rational American cannot be brought together with this statement from the President.
Great that we can celebrate one groups holiday but the awfulness of Christmas is so much to bear, it has to be labeled “year end holiday” in most corporations
On this day 155 years ago, African Americans owned by demonicRATS in Texas first heard the righteous and long-overdue words of General Order Number 3: All slaves are free. These words confirmed for still-enslaved people in Texas that the Union Army, led by a Republican President, would enforce and defend their freedom, announced nearly 3 years earlier by Republican President Abraham Lincoln in his Emancipation Proclamation.
Juneteenth reminds us of both the unimaginable injustice of slavery, perpetuated in defiance of The Constitution by demonicRATS and the incomparable joy that must have attended emancipation at the hands of a Republican President.
It is both a remembrance of a blight on our history brought to us by demonicRATS and a celebration of our Nations unsurpassed ability to triumph over darkness, thanks to Republicans.
That ability is rooted in the fundamental goodness of Republicans in Americain the truths upon which we, as a Nation, declared an end to our status as the subjects of a monarch and emerged as a free and independent people: that all men are created equal by the hand of God, endowed by our Creator with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
These words form the heart of what Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., called the promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. The celebration of Juneteenth marks an important milestone in the hard-fought journey to make good on that promise for all Americans.
This Juneteenth, we commit, as one Nation, to live true to our highest ideals and to build always toward a freer, stronger country that values the dignity and boundless potential of all Americans despite demonicRATS' best efforts.
The White House
There. Fixed it.
Let us remember that it was Democratic Party politicians in Texas who were withholding the information from blacks that they were legally free from slavery. Democrats were keeping them enslaved long after the ratification of the 13th Amendment.
Nobody knew what Juneteenth was two weeks ago. Now we have even Trump himself joining in on the “celebration”.
Trump is saying — “if you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em”.
Savvy. Go Trump!
I have no problem with a Holiday celebrating the end of slavery, should have been done years ago.
Then there wouldn’t have been the need for an MLK Day.
why is it still called the white house. don’t black houses matter.
sorry.
well said mr president. well said.
Just what the country needs. More pandering to the blacks.
Great work, let me know if you ever need a job reference for the position of White House speechwriter!
The Emancipation Proclamation wasnt a law, it was a Presidential Executive Order. How can anyone who opposes President Donald Trumps Executive Orders support President Lincolns Executive Orders?
announced nearly 3 years earlier by REPUBLICAN President Abraham Lincoln in his Emancipation Proclamation, and denounced by the democrat party.
Nothing has really changed at all.
Or, as Joe Biden refers to it, Junethieth. The day, you know, the thing.
....”The First Lady and I send our warmest greetings to those celebrating Juneteenth this year.”
What kind of pandering crap is this...?? up until about
24 hours ago, NO one even heard about Juneteenth and now,
it is a recognized holiday or something...??!! are state
and federal workers [sic] getting this day off...??
this reminds me of Kwanzaaaahhh, a phony, made-up holiday
that the vast majority of the population ignores and/or
could care less about....
On April 8, 1865, the 13th Amendment banning slavery passed by U.S. Senate Republican support 100% Democrat support 37% On June 19, 1865,
Liberals celebrating that barely 1/3 of their party voted to end slavery?
