My post was a bit of a Razzing on the very large number of Freepers who so very often search for and post anti-Pit Bull stories here.
Other breeds are ignored.
My 18 YO Pits name id Bull-Dozer.
When he was younger he could drag anything around.

My four-legged son (Pit-Bull) Samson, not only pulls me, but walk's holding the lead in his mouth, as if taking himself for a walk. Funny as all get out.

Maybe you can help me out.

The only thing that gets my Pit to be aggressive is the lead/leash. He growl's @ the lead/leash, while holding it in his mouth. The lead/leash, I use (simple 3/8" in. Dia. What I would call a soft to the touch, rope.) He keep's about a foot or so, wrap up in his mouth, pulls me (I'm 250 Lb's) like I'm a 90# women. Zero effort pulling me. Why do I use a rope, because Samson ate, make that ripped to shreds his Donald J. Trump Dog leash I got him from (state of / common wealth of Virginia) Donald's J. Trump; winery.

When I ask him (Samson) do you want to go for a walk, or go bye-bye, he goes nut's. Put the lead/leash on him, no problem's, walk out the door, the show start's. He get's about a foot's worth of lead/leash in his mouth, start's pulling me, growl's at the lead/leash like clock work. We live very isolated 5 acre's lot's, seldom see another person, let alone a dog.

Is this just something Pitbull's do, like jumping into the water puddle's?

Mine was maybe two months olds when his owner at the time decided to tie him to a truck tire, not Toyota, more like one-ton Chevy.
He was found three blocks away still dragging the tire.
Thus his name, Bulldozer, he pulls like a tractor!
Of course his usual name is just Dozer, which seems appropriate now that he is eighteen years old.
Pulling and tug - o - war just seem to be what they love to do.
Like any other dog, treats and clear commands using single sylable words work best.
Dozer’s favorite toy to chew up is a green plastic watering can, he ignores balls and sticks but cannot get enough of the water can. I have to replace them often.

I’ve (Mostly) broken Dozer of grabbing the leash by clasping his muzzle whenever he tries to take it.
As to the growling, you probably know that it may just be a happy “I’M in charge!” growl.
