I believe we are all getting a fine eduction on “black lives” and what matters to them (not all, of course).
I'm sure there are some racists out there for whom black lives don't matter. But given some of what has happened in these riots, it's pretty apparent that there are other people for whom it is white lives that don't matter.

YTD in Chicago there have been 249 homicides. Over 70 percent of the victims were black. Most of the shootings were in black neighborhoods, so I am guessing the shooters were black, but it is hard to say because in over 80 percent of the cases police haven’t apprehended or even identified a suspect. Those numbers have been consistent year after year for a long time. It makes the slogan ring a bit hollow.
