I buy on Ebay almost every day, from diodes to big rig steering wheels. Problem is china has infiltrated almost everything. But at the very least I filter items only being in America. Very hard to not buying Made in China online, its the sellers profit margins.
That’s a good site. I’ve been making a concerted effort to buy American... even major appliances. Yes, U.S.A. stuff is more expensive, but you usually get what you pay for in terms of better quality and workmanship. Plus, it’s also the principal of the thing. I don’t want to feed the ChiCom beast.

I didn’t miss the point. I gave you a goddamn whole list of manufacturers, many of them who DO NOT produce in China.

Fact is, your not going to get anything made that is wholly sorced from one country, much less excluding parts made in China. From the rolled steel, to the aluminum, to the copper tubing, to the smt parts on the CCA’s in the controllers, some part of it is going to come from China.
The reliability of any ystem comes down to the quality control and the design. If the guys desigining it are From Japan, and the manufacturing standards are Japan, even if it’s made in China, the product will be a solid build.
But the OP doesn’t want to give any money to China. Well, tough. I’m in the same boat, but if it means I give $70 to China, so the Japanese manufacturer can get $300 wholesale, and the US installer/retailer gets $300, and I get a highly recommended piece of equipment that will run trouble-free, so be it.
OP want’s all or nothing. our not going to get something with no contribution to Cgina. If you want it that way, move north, then and you won’t need A/C.
I buy used or reconditioned stuff.
Even if it’s made in China, there’s no financial benefit to them. Same with yard sales.
