Go ahead and sign him. Pro football is already ruined for me. I won’t watch it ever again. Now go ahead and ruin it for every other white American.

He's not that good a quarterback, and his 32 year old legs means his best trait (scrambling, running) is already in decline.

He won't be a backup, and he won't be cheap. When we have QBs as all around decent as Andy Dalton accepting a modest backup role and backup money, and ones who have great talent but still rough around the edges like Jameis Winston, and FAR more talented QBs with a better resume like Cam Newton still getting no offers to meet his demands, there is no room for a Kaepernick after a bumper crop of rookie QBs (Tua, Burrow, etc.) And that is BEFORE considering the headaches and negative leadership this man brings to a team. SF is doing fine without him.

He’s a natural for holding the ball for the field goal kicker. He probably can’t even do that good.

There may be exceptions but I know of no NFL player or team fan base demanding that their team sign CK. No walkouts, strikes, etc on his behalf.

IMHO it is a spectacular case of NIMBYism. Or NOMT-ism (Not On My Team). People who know these things know that CK would be terrible signing when it comes to on-field performance.

I guess people will still be clamoring to hire Kaepernick when he’s 60 years old.
How many years has this been dragged out already?
What a farce.

Kap was an athlete. Defensive coordinators figured this out early. Dumb, failed QB 101. Had no command of the offense, could not read defenses.

Harbaugh was run first head coach. The OL and Frank Gore was the O. Occasional throws to Crabtree. Kap was OK against bad D’s that allowed his receivers to get 2 yards of seperation.

He was not forced out by polotics. He was a dud.

Yeah, now that there is no NFL for the foreseeable future, it is the perfect time for some virtue-signaling team to make a big theatrical signing. He’ll never have to play a down, but think of the street cred the owner would earn! :)

Don’t even think of it. If the NFL was that stupid, the precedent would be set; if somebody you like is not signed up, just throw a couple of fired up riots until you get your way. A new negotiating tool!

After giving up on the NFL a few years back, I’ve become hooked on English pro rugby. For people who don’t know the game, it’s very like football with the players wearing soccer uniforms. The play is more or less continuous. But there are pauses for water breaks. But the water boys are different. They look like grey-haired ex rugby players who besides dispensing water have intense conversations with some of the players. What they’re doing is relaying instructions from the coach, who is not on the sidelines but up in the stands.

No, I don’t think Colin would do a good job at it.

He and the other SJWs should buy a team and hire all the players he wants.

CNN could buy the Falcons and change the name to the Atlanta Thuggers and then hire Kaepernick.

If Kaepernick couldn’t get signed by the Minneapolis Rioters, what chance does he have with a real Pro Team?
