Yes, I am an expert. I have spent most of my career as a PhD scientist involved in some aspect of infectious disease research. I was a member of the government's pandemic response team for several years. This happens to be my area of expertise. Michael Levitt does NOT have the experience or expertise in the area of infectious disease (especially those that cause pandemics) that I have.

Here in Michigan, we have the spectacle of the governor unilaterally declaring a state of emergency, thereby becoming a de facto if not a de jure dictator, whose every edict becomes law.

I respect that stand, I am with you on that. I currently do not think it is a hoax, but if I am convince otherwise between now and November, my vote will reflect it.

I suspect a lot of the people that support a lockdown on this forum are either independently wealthy or have a rocksolid government pension of some sort. They think that they are will be unaffected by the lockdown but they are being short sighted. They may think they safe “on the top floor“ but as the economic foundations crumble even the mightiest edifices will fall.

If you think that your pension or money will save you during an economic collapse just ask all the people in Venezuela who thought they were safe. The merely wealthy, government workers, and elected officials of Venezuela who now eating cats and garbage and pimping out themselves and their daughters while slowly dying.
