Pretty much
Mine had to get a guy kicked out of some senior group project. The team caught him cheating and didn’t want to get hooked up with him so they got him booted.
We told him right off that any money toward his education was a loan. He paid off all his debts a few days over a year after graduation. He was smart. A bunch of buddies all got high paying jobs but rent a house together.
None of them living large, just working and saving. Nowadays, they are all at home and just saving.
Oh, they do buy guns. I reckon the police will stop by to borrow a few if they ever need some extra’s.
Our kiddo was offered a job in LA and we were concerned. CA is a hot mess, even more insane right now, and not a great place to start his life. He decided to stay in Colorado and to continue at CU. Yeah!
He has a summer internship with a company in Texas however it will be telecommuting and done remotely with a final visit in Texas at the end of the summer.
We were planning to flee the insanity in Colorado and move but the Covid pandemic has slowed our plans to a crawl. So, we will not be empty nesters for a bit longer — our son will be living with us for a bit longer while we still remain in Colorado (for however long that lasts). It will save him a few bucks.
Both my wife and I are natives and have watched the state get overrun by liberals fleeing California only to establish the same tax and spend insane liberal state in Colorado. We have watched it move from red to purple to blue. We want out!
We are looking for a nice conservative state. Do you have any recommendations? We have some ideas.
I can’t say much, We lived in Michigan most of our lives then in the last recession I lost my job and got a new one in Maryland which was 50th on my list of top 50 places to move.
If I had to move somewhere, I’d look at Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas and Tennessee. I recently spent a week in Eastern TN and would love to go back.
Thanks. Texas is close and a good possibility. However, it too is getting overrun by liberals fleeing California and may not be red for long.
