I laughed when, in an episode of The Big Bang Theory, the Amy character finished her compulsory viewing of the first movie, and noted to the boys that the Indy character's presence was completely unnecessary to the outcome. No way in this world would a professed Christian lie and risk eternal life. Think about that. Look at his life and what he sacrificed. He was a very humble man. I met a nurse anesthetist that actually trained Ron Wyatt early in his career (In Tennessee, I think). I’ve known this woman’s family since 1976. All true Christians until the day they die.

It has always been a puzzle to me how anyone could take the Ethiopian claim very seriously. It involves taking the Ark of the Covenant to Egypt, where a tenuous Jewish colony was set up on Elephantine Island (in the Nile). When that society collapsed midst Egyptian polytheistic culture, the Ark traveled further from its intended home to Ethiopia where it eventually came in to possession of the natives.
The Book of Revelation places the general location of the Ark - right where it is expected to be. (Hint: it is not Ethiopia.)
I agree (about the Ark.) I also agree the tv show - while it creeps along at pedestrian pace - holds some intrigue; it has the potential to change the history of western civilization. Will it? Probably not, but...
I panned the idea of a pre-Columbian Templar visitation, but the discovery of the Roman pilum did raise an eyebrow. That is just the sort of Christian icon that the Templars valued; like the Holy Grail, it touched Jesus' body and would have held His blood. Whether it really was the spear that pierced Jesus' side, to the Templars it would have been worth possessing. Not conclusive, but suggestive.
Given the date of the logs found in Smith's Cove, it would seem some connection to the American Revolution is suggested... but why Oak Island? Perhaps some 'French treasure' was cached there.

1. In Isaac is Abraham's seed called. Isaac [יצחק] = "he will laugh" = 208
2. The United States is named Artzot Habrit [ארצות הברית], lit. the lands of the covenent. U.S. is abbreviated as ארה"ב out of the first two letters of each word. ארה"ב 208 =
3. The verb to pack or crate is araz [ארז], "he packed, crated." = 208. Same spelling as cedar, erez [ארז] -- the root concept of the tree being firm, as in packed firmly.
4. The US Govt is famous for its acronyms and more acronyms -- long-winded bureaucratic organizational names are packed into acronyms which may even be reduced to yet shorter acronyms. People make jokes.
5. The Ark of the Covenant is the "Aron Habrit" [ארון הברית], so the pattern that forms the acronym for the United States (Artzot Habrit ) would make the same acronym for "Aron Habrit".
Now of course that wouldn't be used, otherwise people might confuse "United States" - the lands of the covenant - for "Ark of the Covenant". Then again, every man on the street knows that the Ark of the Covenant was packed into a crate and ark-ived in a US Govt. warehouse along with all the other "akr"onyms, serial numbers, and usual mix-ups.

The present "2000-year exile" is called the Galut (exile) of Edom because it was Rome that destroyed the Temple. In Jewish thought, Rome is equated with Edom, Western Civ, Christianity.
