Im interested in the answer to which scanner to get also.
I’m laboring under the misapprehension that when one enters “All” in the post reply, that everyone on the thread gets a “ping.” I guess that doesn’t happen, so I’ll pick out the respondents that seem to have some experience with this and post my message to the group.
I hope that generates some advice. We’ll see, and thanks for your reply.
I am considering doing the same thing. I have a Brother MFC-9840CDW combination laser color printer, copier, scanner, with ADF (automatic document feeder) and Duplex (copy both sides) features. It is almost 10 years old, but still runs well.
Is it worthwhile to get a dedicated scanner which may produce higher quality text and photos than the one I have? If so, and, more importantly, what brand and model would you recommend?
If one has a lot of letters, written on both sides of the paper, then a scanner with a reliable ADF (automatic document feeder) and Duplex (copy both sides) feature would save a lot of time.
Someone mentioned scan at high resolution. How would you define “high resolution”?
Same questions apply for a dedicated printer...
Thanks
I have a box of letters from my British born Mother-in-law to her mother. They start in 1939 when she was 8 until she was 21 when her mother died. The children evacuated from cities to save them during the war. They are interesting reading.
I just took pictures of the recipes . It worked well. I wanted us to keep it simple .
Laser printers only. Ink Jet is not water proof.
