Chinese study, only 75 patients, near death, most likely w underlying conditions (which may have been the true cause of death) neither zinc or Z-Pack mentioned from what I could see before the pay wall. Fake study. Expect more as the left’s fight against a cure continues.

Well, they KNOW the Dem voters are stupid, so that’s who they are mostly targeting with this drivel. Those and the fringe idiot never-Trumpers.
I think the Chinese are trying to lessen the worldwide demand for it so that there will be more available for them as Covid is probably burning through that country like a wild fire.

75 HCQ patients divided by H,M,L sevirity, split across 16 centers given this regimen:
Interventions HCQ was administrated with a loading dose of 1, 200 mg daily for three days followed by a maintained dose of 800 mg daily for the remaining days (total treatment duration: 2 or 3 weeks for mild/moderate or severe patients, respectively).
No zinc, no Az.
Not a big sample size.
Really high doses of HCQ. Primary side effect was diahrrea (duh).
To: libh8er
And yes HCQ will have its own side effects too as do most powerful and effective medication. But these are temporary and go away once treatment is stopped. But see how the media is latching onto the side effects as evidence the medication doesn’t work.

The statistically significant drop in CRP is interesting, and warrants further study. There was also a greater decrease in lymphocytosis in the hydroxychloroquine group - though it didn't reach statistical significance. It's a small study, and to me just shows the potential problems with trying to ‘rush’ a clinical trial.

I wonder what they think this drug does to malaria?

Last night I read a report where they are trying to get Rita Wilson to say HCQ doesn’t work. So now we know she was on it, and him too, and they are both alive and doing well after a relatively short illness.

Its about preventing immune overreaction (cytokine storm) and thus death from organ failure. And the zinc may have inhibitory effect on viral replication which may shorten the duration. Nobody said anything about popping these pills and Coronavirus getting cleared.
Agreed. The whole point should be preventing people from dying and reducing damage. Even if this allows the disease to run its full natural course before "clearing". I'd think in a way, this would be a good thing. You alleviate the symptoms, save the patient, and allow the patient's body to gradually continue to generate antibodies to better ensure future immunity. This would not only promote that person's immunity, but would also increase the rate of "herd immunity" as well (less people able to transmit the disease).
If the HCQ simply wiped the virus out, that would be awesome. But in a way, mitigating symptoms while allowing the body to develop its own natural immunity could be as big or a bigger win.

This should be fun watching the dems cite China as a trustworthy leader of the world.

Here’s the question that MUST BE RAISED when they do a study on Hydroxychloroquine for CoVid-19 CoVid-19 patients-— AT WHAT POINT IN THE DISEASE DID THEY START ADMINISTERING THE DRUG?
The pharmacists wont dispense the drug unless there is a positive COVID-19 test. The problem is that the test may not be available or take days to get a result.
Physicians want to start hydroxychloroquine and zithromax with the onset of fever and dry cough.
If you have to wait for shortness of breath and actual pneumonia, the therapy may not work.
If these tests are intentionally designed to administer HCQ when the patient’s condition is so severe that he has to be intubated, then it is not a fair test. HCQ was never intended to help the patient at a very late stage of the disease, all successful studies show that it must be given as soon as CoVid-19 symptoms are manifested.
