And showers and pizza - and an oven to bake them in....then I might be able to make it work in these days...

I like the same...I may have been a Nun too - only I don't think men have broken that barrier yet...but some are probably working on it....... ...
Apologies for any images I may have evoked.
Took a peek at your Homepage and you have lived a full and interesting life...much to be said for it.

We are elf-”confining”...my wife is more gregarious so she suffers while I use the time for quiet introspection and letting the thoughts keep me company.

I can recommend that research on the history of the Quakers would provide additional data.
Their approach to imprisonment at one time was solitary confinement — for example, the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia was founded on that belief. It eventually proved not to work as planned.

I am also a solitary sort. Love to sit quietly with a cup of coffee and daydream.

I take my dog on evening walks in a conservation area. I’ve been noticing more people every week on the trails. Women are showing up in increasing numbers and seem to be more friendly with every passing.
Just sayin....

“Its real. The brain cant just be parked and then expect it to work like it used to.”
I can surely attest to that. Thanks for the information, wastoute.
Last week, for the 1st time since my surgery, I was able to walk the neighborhood and look up to enyoy the flight of a bird or look for things in trees while walking. My wife always asked why are you looking down at the ground while walking. It was for greater orientation which helped me with stability. Something that simple that we take for granted, I’ve finally gotten back.

Lol! Amen! Extreme introvert here. This little exercise has proven I really can see no one but my pets for days on end and I only get happier!

I would imagine we have more than the average share of "loners" ("He seemed so nice, officer, never bothered anyone and one day, I smelled something weird coming from his barbecue grill...").
Forums where one can interact and exercise the intellect are perfect for us...if we have had enough, we can walk away w/o any pesky person following to continue a.....debate...
