The “Port” is an implanted receiver for chemo treatments. (rather than using a vein which would become worn out)
Love the “My Pillow” Guy (Mike Lindell)
CNN not covering, may have cut away right after Mike Lindell of MyPillow detoured from his prepared remarks ;)
The site will come up under either name.
“Remember, Pompeo said he had a list of Governors he was keeping an eye on...”
I want to see the list.
It should be made public.
Thank you. I didn’t want to ask the friend “what’s a port”, he had enough on his mind.
Thanks for more explanations, norsky.
A friend needed to take his grandmother to the hospital in Spokane, WA to have something done to her port (?) having to do with ongoing cancer treatment. When she called to make the appointment the hospital said “do not come here” and transferred paperwork to a rural hospital 40 miles to the north.
++++
Ports have to be flushed weekly (i think) so they dont plug up and get infected. I get infusions for an auto-immune disease similar to Lupus and my veins are shot. Was thinking about a port but now Im going to hold out as long as I possibly can.
My husband is amazed. We were both over 50 when we married so, set in our ways. He noticed that our house is cleaner than he's ever seen it. LOL
Being a gardener I've always spent more time outdoors. Inside, the kitchen and bathroom need to be spic and span since I can, dry and freeze food. However, entry rooms, laundry room, living room floors are usually muddy or dirt tracked. I throw garden tools on end tables, shelves, even my bedside table. Garden shoes by all 3 outside doors, muddy gloves. Yup, I clutter with crap...OUTSIDE my kitchen and bathroom. Whole house is kitchen clean now and I've made block shelves outside the doors for tools and shoes. I'm just gratified that hubby noticed.
You are wise to put it off, if you can. Better safe than sorry, you just don’t know what’s really going on these days.
Reflecting, reading, reflecting...
Seems to me we are experiencing the beginnings of a complete overhaul of medical services/health insurance, banking industry, and industry in general.
I won't go into a big grocery store especially Wal Mart. Can get in and out of the Dollar Store in ten minutes and get most of what I need, they did have milk today. My heart goes out to the workers that are keeping goods flowing. May God bless them.
One of our granddaughters is an RN in a Portland, OR emergency room. She says she's seen many chicomvirus cases and is too overworked to check in with the family often. We're in Texas so it's anecdotal here too but she's impressed on all to stay home!
watching the press conference at the White House
Is it just my tv, or has President Trump let his hair go grey? (Or has this crisis made him go gray over night?) Either way, it looks really good.
Empty parking lots (non-med personal) are because...no visitors allowed. Empty ERs because most hospitals are saying “unless it’s REALLY an emergency, don’t come here”. And an empty ER waiting room is because there are no visitors/drivers allowed in the hospital. If you take someone to the ER, they might get in, you won’t.
Sadly, although a lot of hospitals have said they’ll make exceptions for end of life situations, that is not always the case (which is why I promised my kids I would not go off the reservation...not even to buy 1.48 gas, dammit!)
NYT (yes, I know) is posting counnty and state data in CSV form (importable directly into your spreadsheet or database of choice) on Github:
https://github.com/nytimes/covid-19-data
They do a good job with data and there are maps on their main site and you only have to verify an email address for access, no paywall. I’m sure they’ll be dropping little notes in my Inbox but I have a delete key for that.
I notice it also...It’s the office
The wind was blowing it at one point and he joked it’s real lol

Money ironing...is that what you do after money laundering?
