w00t!
I don’t know about rugged. It just had lots of distractions. We’ll see what this week brings.
We do not know. We don’t even know how long he’ll be there today.
We finished Richard II. I read his last big speech. Shannon doesn’t like it when people speak loudly and distinctly, so his death scene was punctuated with, “Aaayrrr! Nyaaahr! Nyack!”
As is often the case in life.
Last week was distracting for me, as well. I’m trying to find the books the USPS lost, and I can spend all this week writing up a description for each book and each document, but it would save time if I could upload photos of the books.
The thing is, the USPS online form doesn’t want to accept the photos and I don’t know what format to use, or how to change the format of the photos I have. So this week will be spent mostly describing each book and document in the hope that I get some of them back.
I hope this week goes much better for you!!
Shannon has been an excellent critic as long as you’ve had her! LOL!
Shannon is quite the drama critic: that is, a critic of all drama.
According to Wikipedia, Richard II wasn’t killed with a sword.
I ordered four copies of a single-volume Henry VI from Amazon, because that’s all they had. I’ll have to look at The Book Lady for another one of the same edition.
And since I was having Tom order books for me (using my credit card), I ordered the new, complete edition of Robert Conquest’s poems. It was reviewed in the WSJ last week, and I wanted it.
Wanting something and being able to buy it when you want it is one of life’s sublime pleasures. Congratulations!
There were several things I wanted to order, but even payday won’t save me, and now it looks as if the Left is holding the second stimulus check hostage, so the things I want to do with the money will have to wait for Never. Some of it was going to be used right away, and some was going to be held in reserve, but there seems to be a collective tantrum going on in the halls of the capitol building in DC, so I’m thinking I probably better not hold my breath.
Christmas is looking a little bleaker than I anticipated.
In the meantime, I finally got the dishes done and emailed the USPS because they wanted to close my claim down, and I still don’t know how to upload photos. All I can do is wait. I couldn’t even find the page I had “saved as a draft” because evidently, there’s a time limit on that, too.
Can this Monday just get over with?
We had a thunderstorm. Shannon had gone outside in a snit after the death of Richard II, so she got wet.
I’m looking forward to Naptime, although I’m not sure how it’s going to work out in relation to getting Pat to *gasp* work.
I found an e-book on Henry IV in the library catalog. The introduction suggests one not give too much weight to Shakespeare’s portrayal!
It’s raining again.
I’m sorry you have rain. We have sunshine. The nights are getting cooler, now.
The bed still has to be made but I’m in no hurry. I think I hit a brick wall, so nothing is going to happen the rest of this day. I may write a letter, later. I was waiting for one, but there are so many things to say, so I don’t think I’ll wait.
I called AR again. I’ll call again tomorrow. And Wednesday. Thursday. Friday. She’ll probably be glad Monday is a holiday. ;o]
I had a lie-down in the boys’ room with Shannon, who purred on me. Next, I’ll take Patrick to his first employment experience.
I fixed myself a sandwich with a slice of home made bread, and it was as tasty today, made into a sandwich, as it was yesterday, warm with just butter on it. I’m going to have to put cooking spray on the paddle next time, because once the bread is made, the paddle is almost impossible to get off. I had the timing for the short method so I could remove the paddle before it went into baking mode, so I’ll have to watch it, next time.
Dismally Inept Lawn Service is here. So much for retiring long about 1330 again. :o| I think the guy is here to blow out the gutters, parking areas and rock beds. *sheesh*
I’ll be waiting to hear all about Patrick’s first employment experience.
USPS says the Package Bunneh delivered the package!
They did. It is here on my desk waiting to be opened!
Waiting....
It’s pouring again here.
*gasp* Not on the package???!!!
No, no, the package is dry.
*whew* Good!
