I believe he pneumonia he had when he died was exacerbated by the immune suppressing drugs he was on for his rheumatoid arthritis. Some of these drugs do help people in severe pain but , in my opinion, just treating a symptom. Suppressing your immune system isn’t good in the long run. (Pun not intended).
Decreasing inflammation is the way to go. Diet can definitely help....along with other things.
