When I look at democrat political rallies I see lots of crazy people.

Sounds like 20/20 vision to me.

I’ll bet further testing would show that some pet birds are equally watchful of their owners’ eyes or movements.
Parakeets, Cockatiels, Conures and their bigger, louder cousins are quite observant.

For one thing, those kinds of birds have eyes spaced far apart, making it more likely that they would use one single eye to study whats in front.
Secondly, many of those birds like or are accustomed to positive interactions with people.

Totally agree. In fact, “Parakeets, Cockatiels, Conures” are exactly what I have had.

When I was younger I used my one eyed sensor to do most of my thinking.

Carlos Castanada..wow..I havent read those in a long time! I think that referred to the fabric of women..can you see..women who have had children gave a hole..an empty spot over their wombs said Donya..my keyboard doesn’t have the tilde for the n.

It’s been 41 years since reading that book..it had me laughing my @$$ off!

Dogs use facial expressions, eyes and body language for cues into humans. They notice more than we realize. If you get up and walk past the dog, stop, turn around and stare into his eyes for a momrnt, then begin walking, he will follow you. When my dog wants me to feed her, She will stare at me until I respond.

Dogs use eyes for a lot of communication.

I heard an explanation for this once. If I remember correctly, it has to do with the higher concentration of “cones” (color receptors) in your retina’s usual area of focus - the place you use when you really want to pay attention to something. There are more “rods” (black and white receptors) around the other areas of your retina.

We use the rods in low light, because they are better in that situation. Cones can’t process well in low light. SO - when we pay attention to a distant point of light when it’s dark, we try to use the cones, that don’t pick it up. Looking to the side, we can see it...

Here’s the part I don’t remember - we also have a blind spot where the optic nerve funnels out of the back of the eye. This may or may not contribute, I don’t remember.

I try to visualize what I am looking for

in a different color but this makes me realize

it’s much deeper than that so now I plan to do

the Man Scan as well.

One other quirk. Your peripheral vision is basically black and white. I used to demonstrate this to kids by having them sit in a chair looking forward while I waved colored cards to the side. They would tell me when they saw the motion, but unless they moved their eyes, they couldn’t identify the color.
