Boccaccio ‘70, it was called. I’m not a particular fan of Pasolini but it might well be worth checking out as we’re all stuck at home.
“Its what they do in doors in the dark that could be problematic.”
I never did spring break. What do they do indoors in the dark?
Completely mixing up The Decameron with Chaucer. Is my face red? Yes, it is!!!
This thread is useless without pics...
The DeFoe book isn't as "entertaining"; though.
Today it's a LOT of hysterics and stupid panicking; that is worse than the disease!
You’re right, a great book and a great movie. I was driving down one of the main thoroughfares here day before yesterday and it was deserted.
The first thing that came to mind was: “This could be a scene from On the Beach.” I told my wife about my reaction, and she had never heard of the book or movie. I was floored.
Anyway, I looked it up on Amazon Prime, so she could watch it, and they don’t have it. Bummer. I’d love to see it again.
Personally, I just want to watch mindless "fluff"/comedies. There's just so much of this stuff ( the Coronavirus/financial news ) that I can take.
NYC education was once superlative.
Now it is a damned disaster, thanks to PC and race crap! Also, teacher colleges are no longer teaching the methods that work and everything is dumbed down. Also, once the majority of women could be other things, outside of being a nurse or teacher, the quality of teachers went down. Then throw in the guys that went into teaching to escape being drafted re Nam, and things went to HELL.
It is true what you say about women. Those old maids were wonderful teachers and librarians. Suffrage was a 2 edged sword.
And the wind...
Though I did have mostly married ladies as teachers, in grammar school; the spinsters were there too! And the OLD way of teaching teachers how to teach worked for everyone! Now that that method has been long ago thrown away, look at the mess, EVEN IN ELITE PRIVATE SCHOOLS, things are now.
Ours were usually in the student center - used to slip a bottle into our cowboy boots :)
IIRC, it’s a bit bawdy (R-rated) It was the 70’s, after all.
Booze the internal hand sanitizer
You wild thing you! LOL
The spring breakers will all likely catch something other then the coronavirus....!!
Thank you! The one place I did not look.
