I think people are going to avoid any area with large crowds.
Where will they stream them? How can I watch?
I self-quarantined from theaters after Disney decided Brie Larson was the next mega-star. Family dragged me to see “Last Jedi,” and they decided to self-quarantine after that.
I use to hate theaters because of disruptive children but nowadays its the grown ups that act up and ruin the movie and the children are no longer the problem. Seriously I had to stop going, I got tired of the idiots with their bright cell phone screens popping up in front of me all through the movie.
You sum up my experience even better.
Rifftracks theater events I go to have at most a couple dozen. I think one time me and my wife had a screening to ourselves.
I feel sorry for the theater owners and employees. But a small silver lining would be if people realize the world won’t come to an end without movies in the theaters, and if actors were taken down a peg or two in their wealth and self importance because of that.
Wouldnt go to AMC, that filthy Communist Chinese owned movie theater chain anyways, nor see any movies with any Communist Chinese studio or production credit.
they will stream from the metropolitan opera’s homepage... you can watch from your computer
They closed BROADWAY, why would you go to a movie?
Hell yes! After seeing the movie Outbreak there is no way I’m going near a theater.
Great flick though.
Ditto
Rather watch them at home on the big screen and no distractions
As far as I am concerned Hollywood has been shoveling crap for years at us and calling it filet mignon
My heart pumps piss for them...
If I desire to watch anything...there are other ways. Not giving them a dime.
The last time I went to a movie theater was to see that new Mel Gibson movie, “The Patriot.”
A funny mashup could be Mulan Rouge.
I haven’t been to a movie theater since the early 80s.
My last film was ‘Casino Royale’. Someone turned the room into their own personal phone booth. I had to stick a finger in one ear just to hear any audio. Never again.
We see a movie 3 or 4 times a year, maybe. Being retired, we prefer to go for matinees on a weekday. They are sparsely attended, almost always less than 20 people in the whole house. Sometimes, its just the wife and me, or a just a few others.
Social crowding just isnt an issue here!
Where do you get that information?
I avoid them now. Rude morons checking their cell phones or just talking during the movie in general. Keeps me from enjoying my $10 popcorn and $5 drink so I can see the latest 3rd rate crap from Hollywood. On the plus side, aint going to be anyone there if I start coughing my ass off. Better than screaming “FIRE!”
