Yep, like many sheeple responded, it's just fine if they cause havoc and trillions in losses - they are "protected" because it's too hard to distinguish if they are yelling fire or FIRE.

Nobody can crash the stock market except the investors themselves. If they panic and the market crashes, sorry, but that sometimes happens when you base your economy on something that is prone to mob mentality.
Remember, conservatives are supposed to be the party of personal responsibility. That means that investors are not children who forfeit the responsibility for their actions because some man on the television scared them.
But no media responsibility?
Nobody catches obesity because some guy on the train coughed on him.
Shit, have you look at the blog offerings lately?
Sure, if you can show that the media went out and sold millions of shares of stocks in a panic, then you can blame the media for the stock market crashing.
If not, then no, the media is not responsible, because they didn’t do it.
