Bring Out Your Dead

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.

I do. I’ve avoided google ever since I watched in mounting horror as they “disappeared” over half a million image search results for “obama birth certificate” in mid-July 2008.

I remember an article linked here a month or so ago where the Chinese said they were going to meddle in the USA election to stop Trump. Did Google wipe the search results because I can’t find an article on Google about it?

I can see why they might not want to have a couple hundred “Crazy Irving’s 1000 & 1 Surefire Coronavirus Cures” type apps. Potential lawsuits from users who trusted such things alone could be a discouraging factor.
