Some folks just like to get on their high horse and look down at somebody. It could be for anything. They want to feel like a pure and superior expert while online.

The poor bastard being harassed didn’t take or post the video. It was a local Kayak rental company operating a drone in the area that took the video, edited the video, and posted the video and also criticized the owner of the fishing charter.
All the guy did was touch the back of the Manatee with the tip of a lightweight fishing rod. And, the Kayak rental company is outraged and posts the edited video and of course, the perpetually outraged at everything crowd sees it and hammers the poor guy. Including Death Threats.

You can be sure this is about “See through douche canoe” not wanting his boats in the area. They are probably hoping to get him shut down.
An unethical company use the Perpetually Stupid Internet to shut down a competitor.

So f’ing what. Propellers kill many...yes, probably a hit on the bad, motorized boat people from the kayak company.
Also, the idiot who said, “You’re supposed to call FWS to report a manatee issue..everyone knows that”. Yeah, right, they would humiliate the poor caller even though thinking he saw a parasite. By the way, manatees have gross, barnacle encrusted backs. A light raking would be unnoticeable.
While kayaking near New Smyrna Beach, my girlfriend and I found ourselves in a “pod”? of manatees. Probably 5 or 6 of them.
It was so cool. One swam up to my girlfriend’s kayak and rolled over. My girlfriend rubbed it’s belly.
Another swam up behind the boat and took the drain plug into it’s mouth and gently started pulling the boat!! Very cool!
