Holy cow
stop all flights out of south Korea NOW!!
it’s Friday....and going into the weekend...decision making will be slow...just like China decisions (big news on a friday evening)
South Korea’s experience makes me doubt the ‘cluster-based’ process of the CDC.
When a cluster is 100+ people, it defeats the whole basis of the technique.
It may be as good just to test randomly for the infection.
Governments always make the right decision a week to 10 days too late in these circumstances.
Yet they’re going to build 4 more hospitals. Yea I believe these numbers. Not!

. To spot a U.S. #COVID19 outbreak early we must broaden screening. South Korea has tested 14,000 people; U.S. disclosed tests on about 500. We should free docs to test more people who meet clinical criteria, even if no history of Asia travel

19 new hospitals! 30k beds
Dear, President Trump... please put Dr. Gottlieb in charge.

Daily data charts from China. Interesting stuff.
Yeah.
I was heartened to see US would be testing flu -sick in the 5 cities.
Then dis-heartened to see they weren’t because of test problems.
Gotta get on the ball.
I must have missed that tid bit. Thank you. Are those outside wuhan provincial area?
Wuhan, just came out a little while ago:
China’s Wuhan to build 19 more makeshift hospitals

Everyone dying is going to Wuhan, to keep the other provinces “death free”.
Here’s a vid of the compassionate CCP helping a person to the ‘hospital’.

China can track contacts, all contacts.
My girlfriend wanted to go to the the Call of the Wild movie tonight.
I said maybe next week. She was pissed. She has normalcy bias.
Whatever, Im staying home alone this week, in tribute to all the people in Beijing who have to do the same thing.
This week will show if the CDC effed up or not.
Thanks, Im set for at least two months. Im waiting to see what the coming week brings. (Im in Atlanta with many Chinese students.)
If I had it, I would want to be part of a remdesivir trial.

Oy. Big admission from NIAID head that CDC will be only using labs in Atlanta for testing flu samples across the US (including Hawaii). This could mean delays and bottlenecks.
2) the reason for the lab testing bottleneck is because CDC lab kits sent to states have been flawed. Only 3 states able to do their own #sarscov2 testing to date. This means delays and limited surveillance ability across the country
3) We also need to start allow clinicians to request #SARSCoV2 tests for their patients who have pneumonia and just returned from non-Hubei China, but are currently denied (only tests if Wuhan travel). I know a pediatrician/family who been clamoring to get tested but to no avail.

Perhaps everyone with a touch of the virus can just drive to Atlanta for the test.
Just wondering when the news channels (including FoxNews - especially FoxNews!) will stop filling their broadcasts with the meaningless Democrat primary race and start to cover some real news - THIS!
Lol
