We keep the pill form of guaf. Expiration is not as much of an issue as it is with the liquid. I keep close to the expiration on liquid meds (stuff grows in liquids) but pill forms can be good decades after IF they’re kept cool and dry and the encapsulation is still intact. There are a few that are exceptions to this, notably an antibiotic. Anyone wishing to read more can find info out there.

Priests would do better to take their forehead temps with a infrared temp sensor this year.

Was going through expiration dates for supplies. Holy cow. Mott’s apple juice. Made from concentrates from USA and China. Looks like Mott’s has a problem going forward.

after passengers had disembarked the ship and initiated transport to the airport, U.S. officials received notice that 14 passengers, who had been tested 2-3 days earlier, had tested positive for COVID-19.

Tested 2-3 days earlier. R I D I C U L O U S!

Walmart needs a drive thru window for the pharmacy but they’ll never get one because a sick person coming in for their meds might wander the length of the store to buy a gallon to give the Waltons an extra 10 cents.

*** Guaifenesin without dextromethorphan ***

I read many years ago about a study in Sweden where smokers took guaifenesin (used to be called glyceryl guaiacolate) daily for forty years. IIRC, none developed lung cancer.

Re: self isolation preps. Went to Dentist this am, got new cell phone, Bought cleaning/ disinfecting stuff, laundry detergent,
Anyone here use Ozium?

Bought dry pet food, paper goods (plates, bowls, towels), bottled juice, and drink mixes, Nido (dried powdered whole milk), oatmeal, dry breakfast stuff, breakfast essentials (used to be called instant breakfast),

I noticed a few people buying cases of ramen noodles.

If self isolating, I will probably be sewing..should probably buy some spare sewing machine needles.

"I had just stocked. Then my daughters and their men came home for four days."

Yeah, our son who lives locally won't stock up on anything. Last I asked he still thought it was overblown, and he works in an ER - very exposed. I expect some of our supplies will go to him if things get rough. His brother is 2000 miles away. I hope he's done some shopping but I doubt it.

Our local stores are still well stocked, as of yesterday, but I saw certain shelves a little thinner than usual - rice, beans, paper goods. On a shopping run a few days ago I saw empty spots where jars of yeast should have been. Some people are stocking up but most people I talk to around here think it’s either media hype or just a bad flu.

And if you get into a conversation, and try to correct errors you are looked upon as a witch. If here...if you venture too far afield you can be assaulted.

Just make a list of everything you use, in a day, from the time you wake up until you go to bed. Do this for every member of house (don’t forget pets). Multiply that by 1 -2 months. Next, determine how much food you need to have in your pantry/freezer for 1 -2 months of meals, for everyone in household. Then, add in things that would nice to have, if you’re stuck at home....snacks, drink mixes, coffee/tea, candies, etc. Or, any additional meds for stomach issues/fever/severe cold symptoms, etc. Don’t forget masks/gloves/caps, in case you’re caring for someone sick. I’m sure I’ve left off important items :)

You need..... Guns. Lots of guns.
