...NEW YORK — A 16-year-old youth who mugged the mother of millionaire real estate developer Donald Trump last year was sentenced Friday to three to nine years in prison for robbery and other charges.
The youth, Paul LoCasto, had pleaded guilty on five counts June 24 and could have received as much as 25 years in prison.
LoCasto was sentenced by Justice Arhur Cooperman in state Supreme Court, kew Gardens, Queens. He gave the youth three to nine years for first degree robbery, two to six years for second degrede robbery, two to six years for first degree assault, 1 to 4 years for second degree assault, and one year for possession of stolen property, all to be served concurrently.
LoCasto was charged with snatching the pocketbook of Mary Trump, 79, at a Queens shopping mall last Oct. 31, and pulling her to the ground. He was chased by Lawrence Herbert, a delivery man, who grabbed him and held him until police arrived on the scene.
Herbert was later wined, dined and rewarded by Donald Trump at his Hotel Plaza. Herbert never disclosed the amount of the reward.
Mrs. Trump, wife of the founder of the Trump realty fortune, was hospitalized for treatment of fractures of the face and pelvis. She is still in therapy for her injuries, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.

No. I dont do links.I read it on a blog. Then checked us search. 2 by that name. Its rigbt age and shows he lived in fresh meadows and CT and QU. He got good reviews by students in rate my professor. Glad he turned his life around.
Nice sentiment, but I wonder if he is a Democrat Trump hater. Under the old law in New York State, convicted felons are not allowed to vote.
It must be odd to have an instructor who was convicted of assaulting the mother or the President. Even odder to be that person.

What he did was awful. He was young. Lucky for him he didnt kill her. He did his time. Shows some people can be rehabilitated. Boy did he pick the wrong lady.
