LOVE IT! But our grown kids have PROMISED me NOT to let me drive past about 80 years old. If he can do it, great! We saw a woman driving today, about 80 or 90 here in Austin, and I said, she should not be driving. Give her ROOM!

Amen! we were almost run off the road here in Austin today by a woman who looked 40ish. Then later we saw a multi car wreck here, 5 or 6 cars, no one was elderly.

For fun, Newman enjoys cruising around town with his fiancée, Anita Sampson, who turns 100 next month.

Cradle-robber.

I live south of Sarasota....this state has the dumbest DMV in the country....

My drivers license expired...so I went on line to see what I needed to do renew it..

If I had the same address I did not need anything...

Then the big surprise..I could renew it online...you cannot due it every time..

So someone seventy can renew online...it has had the old license six or eight years...and the new one is good for six to eight years..

This is insane...no vision test or any other test...

Driving in Florida is a hazardous endeavor...I call Interstate 4 in Plant City Death Alley.

My mom is 88 and still driving.
She’s almost 89.

Heck, she bought a new car a year and a half ago!

We don’t let her do long distances any more, just in the area.

She has no problem driving the hour and a half to my sisters.

But she won’t drive in big cities anymore.

It all depends on keeping on keeping on.
She is quite active in the garden and plays (and win!) duplicate bridge weekly.
Double Life Master.

I remember when I was young a little ol lady that drove a big car... blue hair showed just above the dashboard.
I was on a horseback back then so I could get out of her way, she never wrecked but she was well known by other car drivers as a Road Hog, always speeding and it looked like no-one was driving the car.
(Dang it I’m Old)

Florida needs an immigration system........to many people are ruining the state....One person has to die or move out before you can move in...

Probably should add you cannot be a Democrat...but people would lie to get in...

He’s getting more tail than I am! .................... Its easy, you don’t have to chase them, just grab their walkers and steer them to your place. These are women who watched the Continental on early B/W TVs. They all prepped up. Warning!! There is a high rate of STD’s among the elderly in his area.

Reminds me of the gentleman in Sun City Center. He drove through the glass doors/windows into the beauty salon. He pleaded with the police officers to allow him to keep his driver's license. He was 102 years old, FL had just renewed his license for another six years, and his 82 yo son depended on his dad to drive him places.

I'll keep an eye out for Mr. Newman and his red Mercedes. Thanks for the heads up!

This guy could have bought John Voight’s 83’ Chrysler LeBaron convertible.
