My older son has a degree in Law Enforcement and for a rather short time worked in a correctional facility. I have taught both my sons, and all my students, that everyone is responsible for what they know.
Many societies have gone down the road to officially-tolerated hell. It can happen extremely rapidly. How do societies go to hell? One "extrajudicial" beating at a time.

Mrs, Don-O only mentioned two countries of probably hundreds of places on this earth that people are beaten or worse while in custody. You really think it might be ok to go there ?
I’m waiting to hear more about the person that got the beating before I decide how upset I am with the cops....we cheer when certain perps are put in general population and get shivved..
The court had already decided what the inmate “deserved”. This is a breach of trust to the rule of law by these officers. Perhaps you may end up on the wrong side of Justice one day, or one of your children....
