I too have set my anti-tracking to “strict” but rarely play their videos. I am a text kind of guy. I will keep this in mind and appreciate your ping.

Re: “That is simply not true. I use at least 5 browsers with flash.”

I do not understand your post.

With Windows 10 and Edge, you do not need to separately download and install Flash Player to use it. You just check the Flash Player box in the Edge settings. I’m using Flash right now. It’s the default setting.

With Windows 10 and other browsers, you do need to separately download and install Flash Player.

The only browsers I recall having to had to install Flash on was Firefox 59 (ESR), not though some come with it disabled by default which is instantly enabled once you choose.

Running this test, http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/about/ shows that besides FF ESR, Firefox Quantum portable, Basilisk, Waterfox, and Chrome portable (new) all say "You have version 32,0,0,321" installed. Edge says You have version 32,0,0,255.

But most plan to phase it out.

WP says, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 8 and later, and Microsoft Edge come bundled with a sandboxed Adobe Flash plug-in.[6][7][8][9][10] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Flash_Player

And I am running W.10. Thank God for what we can use for His work and will.

Re: “The only browsers I recall having had to install Flash on was Firefox 59 (ESR)”

According to Google, the current version of Chrome has Flash installed.

However, you need to go through a 5 step process to activate Flash on a specific page - with Edge, that is automatic, as far as I know.

My original comment was based on the first Google information box that popped up. It explicitly said Flash had to be installed on Chrome.

Bottom Line - I was just trying to help out the guy who could not make Flash work on Windows 10. All of my information about Chrome comes straight from Google.

All i had to do is run http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/about and click on the allow if was not set to run already. Thus it was installed.

Well for me they have all been vastly inferior to the old Firefox since Quantum nukes most all the useful extensions, and thus I run Firefox ESR 59, with different profiles (plus Waterfox and Basilisk), in addition to others. I still like Quantum portable over Chrome (which was pushed by promotions into 1st place where it does not belong). But thank God we even have variety.

Thanks for doing so. But that is why running more than one browser can be helpful.
