They are too smart not to be scared. Of course they’re scared. Scared doesn’t mean anything.
Where as we would (and are) ignore it until the very last second in an effort to not effect our ability to make money. While on the background, someone is working to actually make money on the worst case scenario.
If hand sanitizers don’t kill viruses what does?
bleach? Hydrogen peroxide?
Can’t imagine being in Italy having lost the ability to taste the food. *shudder* Sounds like a horror novel.

What’s your problem?
I said the mortality rate ( by my calculation ) seemed to be about 3%.
No need to get ‘the vapors’ over <1%
I am just sayin compared to something like Ebola which is 75% you are RELATIVELY safe if you catch this.
Now, if the reports coming out after this are true- it may be something worse than the Chinese are letting on.
Which is kind of my point. Why all the hysteria over <3% mortality- From videos coming out it looks like people suddenly just fall over...
Maybe the Chinese are lying.
I can’t get that to play. WHAT are they chanting?
I will get my wife to translate for me.
Thread has fallen off my sidebar. Seems like there should be some way to keep it as breaking or at least extended news...? Can the Mods do that?
Even 1% mortality would be very bad if, say, 30% of the population is in the calculation. That’s a lot of deaths added to the usual deaths, in a fairly short period of time. Plus, the “collateral” is huge.
Also not being discussed is that recoveries of severely to critically ill patients may take a long time. When my then under 60 y/o brother got a critical case of necrotic pneumonia, he was in the hospital for well over a week after he “got over the hump”. Rehab was over two weeks more. He permanently lost over 1/2 of his lung function.

it seems that this isn’t news worthy and there is nothing to worry about...
this has been moved to chat it seems (see url)

The usual stuff, like “Five Demands, Not One Less”, “Fight For Freedom, Stand With Hong Kong”. One of the protesters was just arrested after they started walking down Nathan Road and setting up roadblocks.
