Correct. But I think the diatomaceous earth will alsocut up their soft body parts inside and out. Too small to harm us or pets if we eat it, but deadly to bugs. Yay! I sprinkle it on my tomato plants to zap the tomato worms.
Tomato! You could look into the Garden thread. Glory to God for what He has enable in this crowded spot: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3775723/posts?page=42#42
Our soil has a lot of clay in it. But I did have some good success with tomato plants in planters a couple of years ago. I never got around to fixing any up last year, but I’m determined to do so this summer.
I just got a seed catalogue, and they have 6 dwarf fruit trees (2 Apple, 1 each, pear plum, cherry and elberta peach, that grows in a 10’ x by 20’ plot! I’m going to go for it! I’ve wanted to plant a couple of peach trees for years, but my husband has discouraged me, but peaches from the nearest orchard are $80 a bushel, and though they taste like they’ve come from the Garden of Eden, I just don’t want to spend that kind of money. Wish me luck!
