Awhile back there was a road rage incident in my neck of the woods. Some guy got out of his car, then beat the crap out of some other guy on a bike. The car guy then got back in his car and drove away.
The police issued a detailed description of the car guy. They even described the glasses he wore! But no mention of race. If you’re going to surpress that basic fact, why even bother with anything else?
Just say: “In other news, someone beat up someone else.”
Which picture? The only one I see in the linked article is of a cop inside of the business.

The BS, you describe below has been going on since Obama was elected.
Our local paper stopped publishing the names of DUI drivers each month. The names looked like pages for a Mexico phone book.
We had two guys shot outside of a bar recently. No description of the shooter. Turned out his victims were Hispanic and so was he.
UPDATE: The suspect is a black male. Vehicle may be a gray 4-
door sedan, possibly Honda Accord. Witnesses say he shot an
employee while arguing over a haircut given to the suspect’s
son. #hounews

That was my first thought since many inside the Houston city limits are feral or illegal. After searching, this happened the suburb of Katy where there’s a lot of nice homes and whites.
Check the prices at the video. Something costs $100 and they do house calls.

Hubby would take the boys to the state prison for haircuts. Yeah, I know but they got a kick out of going and maybe a lesson learned. They’d come home with wonky cuts that I’d laugh at and fix. Never felt compelled to have a shoot out. It’s just hair. Hair will grow back.
This happened in Katy, which is generally pretty whitebread.
However, it’s still part of the Houston area which — anytime you’re in public outside of a gated neighborhood — is still fairly colorful.
Check out the price list for haircuts, outrageous. No wonder the guy got pissed after paying so much for a botched job.
