When Matt was in his prime there was hardly an article linked that wasn't some combination of important, informative, interesting, educational, amusing, or perhaps outright horrifying. There was a political rudder trim on the articles selected, but it wasn't heavy handed and wasn't in you face.
Rarely did I click on a link and say to myself - well that was a waste of time.
And his stripped down format had the look of a 3 column newspaper front page - deceptively simple and well organized. Like things went in like places.
These new sights miss all of that. They are messy, and their political bias hits you in the face.

Lets add the Bongino Report to that list:

Don’t care, I stopped going there years ago.
He might be finally gone altogether. There’s not a single article about robot sex.
My Guess is that part of the deal when Drudge sold out was that he could not expose the sale. The ideal was to put one over on conservatives and slowly bring them into the leftist fold. They hoped that no one would notice the change.
C'mon man. It's not rocket science.
Drudge was a news syndicator with a conservative leaning, back during the beginning of the Internet and then had the balls to post the washington dc open scoop about the lewinsky/slick willy blowjob.
News people all over DC knew about bill and his young sperm receiver, but the conservatives didn't have the balls and the liberals were more than willing to run cover for the little bent one.
Drudge put it out into the sunlight and his traffic went ballistic.
It would not work today because there is too much competition and too many platforms.
This is very very old news
wake up people
For many years now, I have reminded myself that many 180 degree reversals from good to bad MAY be explained by two phrases:
1. Hillary Clinton
2. Missing FBI files
I credit Roberts’ betrayal on ObamaCare to them, among other un-explainable craziness.
About a week ago I heard it was likely Google.
Chris Salsedo on KSEV in Houston relayed that is the info that he heard through the media grapevine.
