Boy she was good. Wife and I would watch Fashion Police for Joan and her razor tongue on fashion misses. Some stars couldnt wait to see if they made her show. Just funny. We laughed at ourselves which is the best humor of all.
What?
From the story:
...but on Monday, the club in Demarest, N.J., responded with a surprising move of its own: Its now suing its own employee the waiter who allegedly spilled the wine in the latest legal development after a dinner gone downhill...In court documents filed Monday, the country club insisted it wasnt liable for the damage to her purse, the Record reported, in addition to suing its own employee.
Did you even read the article?

Did anybody else notice this gratuitous dig at Fox News in the story?
Alpine Country Club, which was founded in 1928 by a group of civic leaders who called themselves the forty millionaires, boasts 196 acres of rolling green hills, an 18-hole golf course, and the four-bedroom, six-bathroom condo of Eric Bolling, the former Fox News host who agreed to leave the network after reports that he had sent sexually explicit photos to colleagues.

We really miss her.
My cousin met her when she was working in college waiting tables at The Plaza. Joan would say hello and ask her how she was doing in school (very well) said she was very endearing
Daughter and I when she was in HS tuned in every Friday night. Sigh. She was so amusing
“Did you even read the article?”
I read the club’s lawyer’s written statement.
My daughter bought me an $1,800 purse thirty years ago. And I’m still using it. That’s $60 a year. And will use it for another 20 years.
Such a deal!
I couldnt find a pic but CBS says the Club pays a million a year in property taxes. Not that thats relevant, but I cannot for the life of me believe this Country Club doesnt carry liability insurance. Im sure they do but deductibles and all maybe thought they could fight it. Dumb move.
If the purse is a fabric I dont think red wine will ever come out, I know it wont in most fabrics and carpets, its a permanent stain, not sure how red wine might affect leather.
Also, you cant replace this purse with the standard insurance like and kind value because these bags, if real only appreciate in value, and the owner should have had decent coverage on it as well.
2 parties both acting stupidly IMHO!

The women sued the waiter. Here is a statement from HER lawyer:
Errico stressed that Alpine is a very, very, very rich country club, and that he was forced to include the server in the lawsuit because of his role in the incident.
!. Her lawyer admits they sued the waiter.
2. The club’s lawyer’s written statement says they are not suing the lawyer.
Money don’t buy class.
I’m sure Bob Saccamano could have gotten a perfectly good purse for her at a much cheaper price.
That could be. Another possibility is that they both knew the purse was fake, and made sure to get wine spilled on it, to scam the club for $30,000.
Third party witnesses, and a background investigation of the plaintiffs would be useful in this case.
... not suing the waiter.
Where is that in the linked story? I don't see it.
I did find in one of the linked stories:
Beyder has also sued the waiter for damages and the club for negligently hiring him.
There is no "club's lawyer" in the story that I can find. Can you point it out to me?
You still haven't responded to why the club sued its own employee. I can see why a customer would cast a wide net, but why did the club sue its own waiter? Are you going to remain silent on that?
Remember, your initial claim was that the woman was a liar. Are you going to resolve how she lied when the club also sued its own waiter?

Don’t bring a 30K purse to a restaurant in the first place.
She took a calculated risk and lost. People should not lose their jobs because she wanted to show off.
“You still haven’t responded to why the club sued its own employee. “
THEY DIDN’T.

“Remember, your initial claim was that the woman was a liar. Are you going to resolve how she lied when the club also sued its own waiter? “
The club didn’t sue their waiter.
“Did you see my post #42?”
You read and responded to my reply.

After the story began attracting local and national media attention, Alpine seemed to have thought better of the litigation and dropped the suit against its worker on Tuesday, the attorney said.
The woman is still suing and had to include the waiter in their suit per the lawyer.
