A lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court.
Their goal 3 months ago appeared to be not for the cure, but for stretching her functional lifespan to as close to 2020 summer as possible, by which time confirming her replacement would become more politically challenging (as getting too close to Nov.)
Not sure it would matter, the conservatives already hold 5 of 9 seats on the court. Yes any one judge can flip on any issue but that is what the court is supposed to be about. Nine judges making an individual determination on an issue.
If she resigns or dies, nominating an additional person right away is not that important as there would now be a 5 to 3 conservative slant.

My Sister diagnosed Stage 4 Brain Cancer was told that she had 6 months in 1979, 1980, 1981 etc etc ... 2016 they removed 1/3 of her Brain. I spoke with her after the Operation and she said “I can’t read anymore or put square pegs in round holes, but I can still drive” (she was driving when she told me)
She passed last month age 63
Hopefully Trump gets to replace her soon. I think we can count on the Turtle to ram the nomination through this year.
